• "VoucherMatch," "we," "us," or "our" refers to the VoucherMatch platform and company
• "Platform" or "Services" refers to our website, applications, and related services
• "User," "you," or "your" refers to anyone who accesses or uses our Platform
• "Landlord" refers to property owners or managers who list rental units
• "Tenant" refers to individuals with Section 8 vouchers seeking housing
• "Listing" refers to rental property advertisements posted by Landlords

To use VoucherMatch, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law
• Not have been previously banned from VoucherMatch for violations

Account Creation

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. VoucherMatch is not liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain account security.

Payment Terms

• • Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually in advance
• • Free trial periods may be offered at our discretion
• • You may cancel your subscription at any time (no refunds for partial periods)
• • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice
• • Non-payment may result in account suspension or termination

Using the Platform

When searching for housing, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your voucher status
• Respond to landlord inquiries promptly and professionally
• Not misrepresent your income, employment, or rental history
• Report any discrimination or violations immediately
• Use the platform for legitimate housing search purposes only

Free Service

VoucherMatch is 100% free for tenants. You will never be charged to search, apply, or use our platform. If anyone asks you for payment related to VoucherMatch, report it immediately at [email protected].

All users are prohibited from:

• ✗ Violating any local, state, or federal laws
• ✗ Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• ✗ Discriminating based on race, religion, gender, disability, source of income, or other protected classes
• ✗ Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• ✗ Scraping, data mining, or using automated tools without permission
• ✗ Attempting to hack, disrupt, or compromise platform security
• ✗ Using the platform for illegal purposes (scams, fraud, money laundering)
• ✗ Impersonating others or creating fake accounts
• ✗ Posting spam, ads, or solicitations unrelated to housing
• ✗ Violating intellectual property rights

User Content License

When you post content (listings, photos, messages), you grant VoucherMatch a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on our platform.

You retain ownership of your content and can delete it at any time. You represent that you have the right to post the content and it does not violate any third-party rights.

Between Users

Disputes between landlords and tenants (lease terms, rent payments, property conditions, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the parties involved. VoucherMatch is not responsible for mediating or resolving user disputes.

With VoucherMatch

If you have a dispute with VoucherMatch:

1. Contact us at [email protected] to resolve informally
2. If unresolved, disputes will be governed by arbitration under New York law
3. Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action

Your Right to Terminate

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. For landlords with paid subscriptions, cancellation stops future charges but does not provide refunds for the current billing period.

Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in discrimination or illegal activity
• Post fraudulent or misleading information
• Abuse or harass other users
• Fail to pay subscription fees (landlords)

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoucherMatch, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your rental transactions with other users
• Content you post on the platform

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action related to these Terms must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending email notification for significant changes

Your continued use of VoucherMatch after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
